The ‘Sport’ moniker has real meaning, straddling both form and function. Highlights include Brembo brakes, petal discs, sticky 17-inch Maxxis rubber, a solo seat, clip-on handlebars and bar-end mirrors to create an inimitable ‘go-fast’ package.

The 700CL-X Sport doesn’t have to deal with a performance straight jacket like CFMOTO’s learner-approved machines: it’s the full shebang with 73hp (55kW) and 68Nm of linear grunt.
With an increase in performance the excitement can build, but the 700CL-X Sport helps to smooth the edges with a slipper clutch – designed to ward off any over engine revs and rear wheel hopping on aggressive down changes.

The ‘smarts’ in headlights these days has gone to another level and, as well as delivering a great field and depth of vision in low- and high-beam, the 700CL-X Sort has an adaptive headlight that automatically adjusts to ambient brightness. Weight is just 196kg with a full tank of fuel, thanks to features such as the aluminium-alloy swingarm. Light equates to a host of advantages, including the ability to turn on a dime and less wear and tear and on the brakes and suspension.
